As the month ended, the adventurers gathered in the inn once more to share their exploits. It had been an epic season of Wyrd and Wonder, made delightful by friends well-met and tales well-told. While all good things proverbially come to end, there was comfort in knowing this was less an ending than a hiatus.

Can you believe how far our Wyrd and Wonder journey has taken us? What a few weeks it’s been – this fourth round-up of your adventures is as epic as any that have gone before! Before we tackle the last week, let’s take a moment to take a look back at the chatter along the road.
Week after week, the adventurers sent word back of their travels: venturing into uncharted subgenres, updates to follow. Taking tea with dragons, see you next week. Beset by TBRs, send aid! That last was the most common, but the TBRs proved friendly as a rule – just given to multiplying at alarming rates.
Out across the wild worlds of fantasy, the adventurers went in search of adventures. Some went alone. Some went with buddies. Some traversed the same worlds by different paths. And from time to time, they gathered back at the tavern to hear the bards sing the news of their journeying.
They gathered at the tavern. Some came alone, some came with friends; all came with books. Many called out happy greetings to familiar faces. New faces were welcomed with a smile and found a seat. Soon all were deep in discussions of other worlds and fantastic beasts. And so it began.
Summon your friends! Stock up your book bags of holding! Fear no creaking TBR! It’s May the 1st and you know what that means: it’s the start of an epic month of celebrating the fantastic with Wyrd and Wonder.

A dark corridor stretches before you. You strain to make out the faint sounds echoing off its walls. Are there voices in the distance? Yes! There is a flicker of light ahead. Getting closer, the excited chatter becomes distinct. It is a group of adventurers. Wait, are they clutching book bags?
The Mireces have conquered Rilpor, but their victory cost them an unbearable loss. As the defeated Rilporians scramble for allies to push back the invaders, the Blessed One must appease her God and find a way to raise the dead…
The King is dying. Loyal General Durdil Koridam is determined to hold Rilporin in defiance of the enemy, but the capital is besieged and his relief has their own problems. With the Red Gods close at hand, it will be a miracle if any mere mortal can surviveā¦
Sorlost is the heart of the richest empire in the world: ancient, proud, unconquered. But its self-regard is stronger than its armies. As nobles conspire for power and mercenaries flock to their call, who will prove ruthless enough to seize – and hold – power?
The Red Gods were defeated, their followers banished to the mountains to eke out a violent subsistence in the rocky heights. But their time is coming. The Blessed One of the Mireces is determined to open the door for the return of the Dark Lady and the Blood God. Is the kingdom of Rilpor ready to be tested?
We started our quest with two dozen companions out to see how much fantasy we could celebrate in a month. I missed quite a lot of the latter half of Wyrd and Wonder – work exploded into overdrive and then my remote holiday turned out to have even less internet access than expected. However, there’s no stopping a fantasy party on a quest – so I’ve had an awful lot of fun catching up to compile this final retrospective!
We’re halfway through our month of Wyrd and Wonder (SNIFF) – I’ve been a little distracted by work (grr), but am loving my daily dose of all things fantastic! It can be tricky to keep up though, so here’s your weekly catch up of what we’ve seen this second week…
