Happy new year! 2022 was a bitch, frankly, so here’s hoping for better times in 2023. I’ve lined up two significant challenges at home and work, so blogging will likely take a back seat (or be at best sporadic) – but let’s start with a look back at the year that was and a look ahead at what to expect.

I have begun 2022 by focusing on reviews rather than on how I’d like to spend the reading year ahead of me. As the first week of the year winds down, it’s time to check in on my 2021 reading (and blogging) and set some goals for 2022.
I’m off to a slow start in 2021: sure, I got my tracking spreadsheets roughed out before new year, but I’m yet to finish a book and I’ve only written half the blog posts I had in mind. So far, 2021 looks a lot like 2020. Time to take stock and reset? I think so.
It’s the start of a new year and (cardinally speaking) a new decade – so it must be time to sit down and consider my goals.
I’ve been on an unplanned blogging hiatus over the past month. I was travelling in Australia and found myself with less time to blog than I expected.
