Our crew has crossed galaxies and navigated timelines, delved into what if and could be, but every SciFiMonth must come to an end. Better late than never, it’s time to look back across the final ten days of shenanigans and share the crew’s adventures.

With one week left to go, it’s time to take the wrappers off our final SciFiMonth Solaris Book Bundle! Our friends at Rebellion Publishing have been incredibly generous for our birthday, so our final bundle features some fabulous releases from the past couple of years.
Wait, how did we get to week three already? Right, I’ve been stuck in another timeline moving boxes. I fear there’s a few more of them in my future, but before I find out it’s time to sit back with a cuppa and survey the signals from our SciFiMonth crew to see what they’ve been up to these past seven (or so) days…
One of the worst ads I ever saw made a new book’s biggest feature that it was from the publishers of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. Some enormous press who puts out hundreds of disparate titles per year is not my guarantee of a good time. But here’s the thing: if it had been an independently owned / small press, that ad would work for me. Let’s look at why…
Today, I’m delighted to announce a very special giveaway. In honour of our tenth birthday and in support of the #SmallPressBigStories cross-blog initiative celebrating small and independent presses we have an ARC of The Ten Percent Thief by Lavanya Lakshminarayan to give away courtesy of the lovely team at Rebellion Publishing!
Control to SciFiMonth fleet: it’s time to grab a cuppa, put your feet up and tune in to what your crewmates have been up to during the second week of SciFiMonth! Whether you’ve been hip deep in clones or navigating the unexpected quirks of an alternate timeline, Lisa and I are here with a round-up of reviews, discussions and recommendations…
Hailing all channels: it’s our first weekly round-up of SciFiMonth shenanigans! If you’ve been trapped in a pocket universe or cut off from comms on a strange new world, Lisa and I are here to bring you the news of what your SciFiMonth crewmates have been getting up to. Grab a cuppa and batten down your TBR…
It’s the most speculative time of the year – SciFiMonth lifts off today for a month exploring the realms of what if. The SciFiMonth crew will be adventuring across the multiverse to read, watch, play and celebrate tales of possible futures and alternate nows, survive first contact or enjoy being part of a thriving galactic community. Expect 30 days of chat and geekery – you’re welcome to join us!
I can’t believe it’s just nine days to our TENTH annual celebration of SciFiMonth – 30 days of wall to wall geekery exploring other worlds, parallel dimensions, alternate timelines and weird science through November. So what are we cooking up for the crew?
If there’s one thing we learned from The Lord Of The Rings (other than don’t keep rings you find in rivers or caves) it’s that birthdays are for giving presents – and for our tenth birthday, Solaris Books have partnered with us to give away stacks of awesome SF titles across the month! Today I’m taking a look at the first exciting bundle – our sign-up giveaway.
Autumn is well and truly here, and the countdown to SciFiMonth continues! This will be our tenth year of celebrating all things science fictional through November, and Lisa and I are as disorganised as usual busy brewing up tea, giveaways, read-alongs and our now-traditional SciFiMonth challenge. A prompt a day to keep the tribbles away? Something like that…
Back in 2013, bloggers seemed to talk more fantasy than science fiction. In response, Rinn Reads set up SciFiMonth, a month-long celebration of the genre. Fast forward to 2022 and sign up for our TENTH annual event is now open! Come geek out with the finest crew of genre lovers as we celebrate the joys and horrors of but what if this November. Sure, we enjoy SF all year round – but SciFiMonth is when we enjoy it together.
