I love the My Life In Books meme as a way of looking back at the previous year’s reading. I found it last year via The Captain and Laura Tisdall, but it originated (as far as I can tell) with Adam at Roof Beam Reader in 2010.
The rules for this tag are simple: using only books read last year, answer the following questions. So, what was my life in books like in 2021?
In high school I was: Born to the Blade (ahaha I wish)
People might be surprised by: Birds of Paradise
I will never be: Too Like The Lightning
My fantasy job is: Bookburners (in the archives with Asanti)
At the end of a long day I need: A Desolation Called Peace
I hate: Sweet Black Waves (but you may not)
I Wish I had: The Four Profound Weaves
My family reunions are: Empire of Wild
At a party you’d find me with: The Loneliest Girl In The Universe
I’ve never been to: The Black Coast
A happy day includes: She Who Became The Sun (depending on your definition of happy)
Motto I live by: The Unbroken
On my bucket list is: Sweet Harmony (literally, please. I’m not hankering after dystopian app-driven credit card debt or even nanobot-provided perfection)
In my next life, I want to have: The Archive of the Forgotten (what, we weren’t talking life after death? Ah. Well. Still)
