Welcome to an epic month of celebrating the fantastic. The annual Wyrd and Wonder party starts here, where our party of fantasy lovers yell about books, gush over shows, search out new authors and share our favourites as we explore every nook and cranny of the genre. There’s no protecting your TBR, so grab a book bag of holding and get ready for rapid expansion!
Welcome to our fourth year of Wyrd and Wonder! We’re all set for this to be our biggest fantasy love-in yet, with over 70(!) of us signed up to make as much noise as we can across more social media channels than ever.

Want to join the party? You’re absolutely welcome – just add your name to the party rolls to let us know and to enter our sign-up giveaway. Join the conversation on blogs and/or social media and add the #WyrdAndWonder tag when you make a post.
Thought you were in the party but don’t see your name here? You might not have ‘officially’ signed up – best get on that if you want to be entered into the sign up giveaway.
What will be happening?
You can expect a month of reviews, recommendations, interviews, live tweets, giveaways, discussions, book photography, memes, book tags and good cheer. Our course is set for fun, and we can’t wait to get started.
We’ll be hosting a read-along of The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart (first discussion prompts will be up on Wednesday!) and our annual prompt Challenge is ready to go – as is our all-new Book Bingo. Six Degrees of Fantasy Separation will be back here at There’s Always Room For One More if you’re brave enough to have a go – and watch out for Desert Island Reads, a brand new meme for Wyrd And Wonder I’ll be posting more about in a few days!
Most importantly, do whatever you want to do. Wyrd and Wonder is a chilled-out event for sharing our enthusiasm with like-minded people around the virtual campfire (searching out dragons is a choice; watch your back, don’t steal their books). We’ll happily read and boost everything you post, but if you just fancy hanging out in the comments, that’s cool – we all love a chat! There’s no obligations except to be respectful and to share anything you enjoy.
Quest Log
You can follow the fun on the #WyrdAndWonder hashtag on Twitter, Instagram and Litsy, and there’ll be weekly Quest Log posts each Monday here at There’s Always Room for One More and over at Dear Geek Place with a round up of blog posts from the party.
If you want your posts to be included in the Quest Logs, please remember to add links to our master schedule. If you miss the cut-off (which is an arbitrary time on Sunday) one week, don’t worry – we’ll include your link the following week.
What will you be reading during Wyrd and Wonder?
