Last May, an intrepid band of like-minded bloggers and book lovers devoted themselves to all things fantasy. Lisa, Jorie and I will be heading out in search of dragons, magic and Faerie again this year. Will you join us for Wyrd and Wonder?
Weird and Whatnow?
Wyrd and Wonder is a month-long celebration of the fantastic. We want to hear about your love of epic fantasy, low fantasy, grimdark, urban fantasy, portal fantasy, magical realism, fairytales, mythology – you name it, if it’s fantasy, we’ll be talking about it. We’ll be blogging, tweeting, sharing pictures and inflating our TBRs all month, and we’d love you to join in. We might even manage a group movie night!
Never read any fantasy but curious to dip your toe? We’re here to help.
Got a fantasy TBR the size of Mount Doom? We share your affliction.
Fancy hanging out with likeminded fans across the blogosphere, Twitter, Litsy and Instagram? Then sign up to let us know you’re planning on taking part, and we’ll see you in May!
Who can take part?
You! Wyrd and Wonder is open to everyone – anyone can jump on board at any time, and there’s no strings attached to signing up. Come May, you can blog-hop to read other peoples posts; join in the chat or tackle a few photo prompts on Twitter, Litsy or Instagram; or go hell for leather writing blog posts – whatever suits you.
How do I get involved?
Sign up to let us know to expect you, and follow @wyrdandwonder on Twitter if you hang out there. Come May, we’ll be sharing links to everyone’s blog posts, hosting Twitter chats and read-alongs, and generally helping to share the fantasy love across as many social media channels as we can.
There’s no deadline for signing up – but watch this space, we might manage to wrangle a giveaway for those who get in before May starts…
What will be going on?
The master schedule is now live – so if you’re really keen, feel free to start adding details of what you’ll be up to. Once May starts, please do remember to add links to your posts to the schedule to ensure we see them and include them in all the buzz!
We’re still in early planning stages ourselves, so expect more details over the coming weeks.
