ARC August

I’ve done a reasonable job of staying on top of my NetGalley eARCs, but I have quite a haul direct from authors and publishers that are prickling my conscience. And that look amazing. So hooray for ARC August, the perfect time to get on top of them. My goal is to read 4, because I’ve got other commitments too (not to mention a lot on at work!) with a stretch goal of 6.

Good luck! I have so much catching up to do, but I never seem to remember to post updates on challenges like this if I do enter them.

  As it’s a month long challenge I’ll try to remember to include an update in my August redux 🙂 Although I suspect most of the reviews won’t go live until September as there’s lots of small print on publishing dates with this batch!

  At a minimum, I’m going to have another go at Cat Valente’s Radiance, which comes out in paperback this month (so seems like good timing); African Monsters (short story collection); Diamond Roads by Andrew Wallace; and A Little Knowledge (which I’m nearly 3/4 through already. WILL. GAH). All going well, I’ll also finally get to Fate of Vultures by Jessica O’Toole, which has been sat on my TBR for far too long.
  
  I’ve got 3 more that are due to be published September/October and have restrictions on reviews until then (but I could read them now and be terribly well organised, not least because I’m really itching to read all 3 of them!)

    The only overlap with my own list is A Little Knowledge. And, yes, Will did backpedal quite spectacularly, didn’t he?

      He’s a disappointment, that one. Although Emma Newman is doing a cracking job of showing how he rationalises his increasingly awful behaviour.

        I was worrying that he’d get a narrative pass for what he did in book 2, so I was actually relieved when he started getting worse.

Best of luck! Keeping up with my NetGalley pile is like a Sisyphean quest; each time I submit feedback for a book, I seem to request two more.
